The Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor (NHCAA) has been practicing “healthcare as Mother Nature intended” since 1997, when Dr. Darren Schmidt, DC, founded the clinic on the belief that the body can heal itself when given the right natural support. Nearly three decades later, the practice has grown into a team of practitioners on Jackson Plaza serving patients not just locally, but around the world through long-distance care programs.
The center’s approach centers on personalized nutrition counseling and applied kinesiology, paired with chiropractic care and virtual acupuncture. Rather than reaching for pharmaceutical interventions, practitioners build individualized plans using whole food supplements and herbs to address the root cause of a patient’s symptoms. The clinic also offers animal nutrition counseling and online educational courses for patients who want to learn the underlying principles themselves.
